Anxiety, what is it?
A physical reaction in the body
A heart racing fast
Thoughts running so fast but no thought to catch at all
An unrest
A tightness of the chest
A shortness of the breath
Like we need to avoid a threat
but it can't be seen or heard
like something is stuck
but there's nothing to grasp
Fear
Overwhelm
Chaos
A lack of peace within the self
out of alignment
out of touch
unanswered questions
feelings unfelt
lack of conclusions
this isn't what I want
I don't know what I want
unfinished business
out of integrity
dishonouring the deep, true self
disregarding the facts
disapproving
rationalising, not following the calling
ignoring the calls
not stepping into alignment
not making the decisions
not making the choice
not making the change, that is tough
waiting
waiting
waiting
waiting for something else
this and then it's that
not doing what you truly want
not today
let me just look away
I shouldn't be feeling this way
resistance
but the body can't be tricked
what is important
locating oneself
breathing into the anxiety
let it show you
let it reveal the hidden facts
facts about you
what you want
what is not working
what isn't processed yet
it's information
it has a message
unveiling of the unconscious
it's a guide
it's a sign to come into the body
and out of the head
to stop the spinning and to ground yourself
and then listen
sit
listen closely to what comes up
the energy needs a way out
it needs an outlet
it needs attention
it needs presence
it needs movement
out of the mind, out of body
let the fear be held by love
let it speak
let it have a voice
let it weep
let it cry
let it scream
let it move
let it be wrapped in words
let it show itself fully
let it be
allow it to be
and see
be a witness
it is not you
it is an energy moving through you
and in that process
all is revealed
all that is needed
feeling
knowing
action
truths
it is medicine
it calls us to be true to ourselves
