It always needs a plan - the mind

It always needs a plan. A solid plan that is carved in stone with all the details filling every inch of your life. From every dollar made to every dollar spent. From a title that never changes and never ends. A life that is already known.

How insane? This process that is so normal in our brains. "Before you start you must know everything. Only that is safe. Only then it is feasible, only then can it exist." It must know and walk only on the one right path, a path without struggles or pain, a path that is clear, a path without any unknowns. It must all be known, the path, the way, the journey and all that it will lead to - it wants to know the destiny. Only then it will deem it appropriate to take a step forward, to even think about making a move.

The unknown is unknown. It is uncertain and uncertainty feels like death, it feels like a threat. Like anything new. It takes the ego mind away from its perceived safety - the safety of the old and the known. The feeling on an old comfortable home, even if the walls are falling down. Falling down up to you, you who stays in the confinement of the mind's cage.

"No don't go out, it is dangerous out there. There are predators. I will keep you safe here in the confinement of your own mind, where you will suffocate and decay into nothing but an empty shell, losing parts of your soul slowly and slowly."

The ego holds no trust in you, in who you are, your resilience or your brilliance. Its only motive is survival, the survival of itself. It has been created in separation, in isolation, out of fear, out of lack, out of all that is untrue, all that is false. Its vision is limited and tinted with shades that rob the life out of your life. It is a victim of itself and it doesn't know anything else.

It is then wise to hear, not believe but listen, to the whispers, the ego whispers. And in this distinction, in the acknowledging of the ego, you come into freedom. Freedom to see it from a distance, to see it for what it is. The energy of a separated and lost child. This energy that is a part of our mind. In identification with it, it is a nightmare, a tyrant, a guide to misery. But in this distinction from it, you can sit and inquire and contemplate with your true mind. You can hold even the falsehood of the ego with and not have it govern you. In your true mind, you are connected to your heart, to your soul, to your truth, to god, to all that is beyond. And you know in your being, in your blood and bones, that life exists in all is unseen and unknown. That the unknown, the void, the darkness is the fertile ground life births from. A womb of mystery is the real nature of life and the practice is of coming back into this knowing, coming back to this trust that is always there. The practice is of coming back into your right mind, into your true nature. That is where life lives, that is where it is all revealed in perfect harmony, in perfect order, in divine synchronicities. Either we are with ourselves in truth or we are against ourselves. There really isn't anything else but this. The question really is to be in truth or not to be.

So anytime you are in turmoil, stresses or distress of any kind. Anytime you feel like you are in resistance. Start listening, listening to what is happening in your psyche. Give it a voice, let it speak, let it reveal itself, let the energy come into its full form. Write, speak, shout, dance, stomp, scream, sing. Do what feels right, do what feels true, do whatever that comes to you. You have no power over what you don't see, make it visible. See who is calling the shots, who is pulling the strings inside your own being. Let it all come into the light of awareness where truth is revealed. Then you have a choice and in that choice you hold the power, when you can see it all, question it, have inquiries, be in contemplation. Then you can ask the question, "To be in truth or not to be." And in coming to that question, the suffering is ceased and you are set free. To be, in peace, truth and harmony. The state of your true being, the state of your true nature.
